Dries Van Noten is a world-renowned fashion designer, considered one of the famous Antwerp Six.
He graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and worked as a freelance designer while studying, also taking on roles like buyer for his father's boutique.
He later participated in a government-sponsored project aimed at revitalizing the fashion industry. The members at the time included Dries, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dirk Bikkembergs, Dirk Van Saene, Marina Yee, and later Martin Margiela, making a total of seven.
His works, inspired by various traditions and cultures, are known for their intricate fabrics, tailoring, design, and craftsmanship, resulting in fantastical collections. However, he stepped down as brand designer after the 2025SS collection.

This is a pair of wide-leg pants from Dries' 90s Leica era, known for their beautiful knitwear and trousers.
Made from supple and lightweight cotton fabric with a fine pencil stripe pattern, these wide-straight pants evoke the silhouette of military pants and battle dress pants. The button fly front features reinforced corner stitching, and the right pocket has a coin pocket.
It's a simple yet stylish pair of pants.
Like vintage pieces from Veronique Branquinho, Raf Simons, and Margiela's Artisanal, their value is expected to rise.

This is a vintage archive piece from about 30 years ago, so there is some overall fading, but it's in good condition overall.
