This is one of the iconic shapes from ES Keramik, found with the shape number 683 or 883 depending on the time the jug was made. (ES changed their numbering system in the 1960s.) Based on the design, this version is probably from the late 1950s or no later than the very early 60s. The design is fully hand applied, a lot of very good work. The form is clean and sharp, suggesting it was made while the mold was still fairly new. It's simply a fine, uncommon example of a W. German pottery classic.

Condition is excellent with no damage and no repairs.
