Purchased from an estate sale. I am unable to find anything remotely similar to this item. There are small cracks to the side. It is leather bound. Features a latch but it does not latch into a metal mechanism. The item is silk lining with a picture canvas on the inside. I would date this item to the early to mid 1800s.The writing on the silk is a little difficult to make out but you're able to make out the words the, company, and Cincinnati.Please note that the antique box and stands are solely for display purposes and are not included in your purchase.
