Coveted $4,350 w/tax TOM FORD Signature Buckley Full Grain Leather Briefcase, Bag Holdall, Unreal Details

Selling this for a friend who designed for many of the elite lines in Italy. He has amazing taste and one of the most coveted closets I’ve seen. He’s parting with this luxury TOM FORD signature full grain briefcase. What I especially love is that I initially thought it was black like mine – I'm often holding mine in fit pics, but upon closer inspection I think it has undertones of a midnight navy!

That doesn’t surprise me coming from this friend who is known as a “tastemaker”. Being a designer, he has intimate knowledge of these grain leathers and epic colorways (he’s always been ahead of trends for these leather accessories and footwear in that regard. Sure enough after he’d tell me what was coming, I’d start seeing that color in all the elite lines in the next seasons). He’s also passionate about craft, stitching and construction, all evident here in this masterful piece from Tom.

You know it’s special when TOM FORD designed it for and named it after his longtime partner Richard Buckley who sadly passed away a few years back. It features Tom’s unrivaled chunky gold zipper and leather tab; always an attention-getter! Inside it has another gold zip pocket and integrated dividers. The shape allows for some extra room and it holds my Macbook Pro perfectly (see photo).

It’s also interesting that Tom Ford personally prefers to carry these pieces and eschews shoulder straps; every time I see him with luggage, weekenders or briefcases he likes to hand carry. I agree, it’s more masculine to carry these and you don’t have to worry about the strap getting caught up or ruining your expensive jackets!

It’s the perfect size to carry all your essentials, without being too big or cumbersome.
