This Starter Deck is unusual as it contains a random assortment of cards, whereas regular Standard Decks contain the same pre-selected cards. The deck also contains an additional 'side deck' containing 18 more Energy cards, making 78 cards in total. Typical decks contain 60 cards.

This deck is similar to English releases such as the 2-Player Starter Set and 2-Player CD-ROM Starter Set, designed to introduce players to the Generation II cards found in the expansion. Like others, the Neo Starter Deck also includes a rulebook, damage counters, and a custom coin. This was the only deck of any kind to be released in Japan accompanying the Neo series. Unlike the majority of cards found in decks in Japan, these cards have rarity symbols.

I had this starter deck for a long time and forgot about it in storage along with packs for other TCG games. Get it for a chance at Lugia and others!
