I find agate slices make fantastic lamp finials. They're eye-catching when illuminated by a lamp; with plentiful banding & semi-translucent parts which give an almost stained-glass effect. These banded brown agate slices have gold-plated edges & are prong-mounted to complement their natural banding. Made from natural stone or mineral. Crevices, fissures, & some surface irregularities may be present. Their color has been enhanced. Coloration may vary based on the nature of the stone material & varied light sources. This design measures 4 1/4" tall & 2" wide approx. Sizes vary up to 1/2" due to the natural diversity among agate specimens. Polished solid brass finial base(s) will fit a standard-size lamp harp with a 1/4" stem. All TopFinials designs are hand-assembled in Wisconsin using commercially available components. This design combines a decorative element with imported hardware to create a unique product. Finials are secured with jeweler's grade adhesive, with some designs incorporating clay, epoxy resin, or plaster to alter or stabilize the decorative element. Some decorative elements are reworked by drilling, sawing, or painting.
