Stunning Vintage 1940s Volup Brown Lace Dress with Matching Belt and Gloves An absolute drop dead gorgeous 1940s dress. Classic body hugging shape with flared hem. This dress is in perfect shape and looks to have been barely worn. The lace is in perfect shape. It's lined with a matching acetate. The neckline is a really unique square neckline with a brown net filler. This is complimented by bands of the net on the sleeves and on the decorative bow edge. The bow is completed with a paste rhinestone center! The dress opens and closes with a classic metal side zip (zipper brand: crown) and 3 covered buttons at the back neckline. There is also a mat hing covered belt with three thread eyelet holes. But wait there's more!! This dress also comes with matching gloves! They are brown nylon made by the Fownes company. Size: 7 1/2. They fit my modern hands, which are on the slimmer side, but still fairly average. One of the gloves has some stress on the seams across the palm and has been darned on one the fingers. The tag reads: Original Franklin Fashions Salon Chicago. Which produced many high end designs during the period.
